Starting Off

Married at 18? What!? Lets look back first. I am the only child and first grandchild in a small family. Never knew biological dad. Parents split a couple of months after they had me. Mom and me stayed with grandparents. I was spoiled rotten. Anyway, mom remarried and I was legally adopted by new dad at age two. So growing up he was always my "dad". There would always now be a struggle between my mom and grandma and dad on how to raise me. Mom and grandma would give my everything and make everything easy for me. Example; give me the biggest bat with the biggest ball thrown two feet away from me so I wouldn't miss. Dad, on the other hand would make me work for success, small bat and ball thrown at a normal distance. Both sets were loving and extreme. Would there be a balance?
